The Waipio Valley access road will be closed for tree trimming work from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and noon to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. This closure is necessary to complete the work in a timely manner and for the safety of the workers and the traveling public, according to the Hawaii County Dept. of Public Works.
